Kid’s Hope

"We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure."  Hebrews 6:19

For several years Calvary has actively supported the Jane Long Elementary School in our neighborhood through a mentoring program called Kids Hope. It is a church-school partnership that pairs caring adults with at-risk kids in supportive mentoring relationships. Each Calvary member who serves as a mentor is assigned one child and spends just one hour per week reading, talking, playing and listening to their child at school. This one simple act makes a big difference in the life of an at-risk child: one-on-one positive attention from a responsible, caring adult. By helping the children feel loved and valued, we help them to learn, grow and succeed.

Each Calvary mentor also has a prayer partner to keep the mentor and child in prayer.

If you are interested in mentoring an at-risk elementary student in our community, or being a prayer partner, please call the church office or contact the Kids Hope director:

Chris Bradley at the church office at 281-342-2147 or Calvaryinfo@ces-richmond.org

Calvary welcomes and embraces all who join us in doing the work of Christ in our community.
