The Christian Heart: Adult Education at Calvary

"I am the living bread which came from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever..." John 6:51

The purpose of The Christian Heart: Adult Education at Calvary is to offer different tools and skills to help adults at any point in their faith walk develop a heart of Christ and share that heart as Christ leads us.

The Christian Heart Education offerings at Calvary are:

·        Sunday School: Sundays — 9:15am in the conference room

·        Men’s Bible Study: Wednesdays – 7:00am in the conference room

For us to fulfill our individual and collective purposes of learning and

growing in the Lord should we understand how Jesus defined the word “heart”?

Jesus used his languages, the Torah, and his prayers with the Father. Jesus learned that the Hebrew word for heart was lev.

Lev was (and is) defined as incorporating:

the physical part of a person, the thinking part of a person,

the emotional part of a person,

and the part of a person that makes choices.

Knowing this definition, does Jesus’ definition of heart change how we say, think, and act on the Great Commandment?

For more understanding of the word lev, check out the Bible project video here.
