Children’s Chapel
But Jesus said, "Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14
Children’s chapel service takes place each Sunday during the 10:30 AM worship service. The purpose of chapel is to encourage bonds of fellowship within the church, to hear and share stories of faith and to support the practice of worshiping while gathered in the Children’s Chapel area.
During the singing of Gloria, children Pre-Kindergarten through the 5th grade are invited to follow the cross to Children’s Chapel. Different children are chosen each week to process out of the sanctuary holding the Christian Flag and proudly holding the Bible high for all to see. Using the “Creative Ideas for Children’s Worship”, a Liturgical Anglican curriculum, allows the children to hear the same Gospel as their parents in a child-friendly way. Parents and children hearing the same Gospel will promote meaningful conversations, while helping the children grow closer to a personal relationship with Jesus. All children participate in an order of worship, which includes opening prayer, lessons, Gospel, Offertory and closing prayer. Lessons are portrayed through skits, flannel board stories, games, and other creative activities. The children return to the service during the Peace and complete the worship service with their family.
