Children’s Chapel
But Jesus said, "Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14
Children’s chapel service takes place each Sunday during the 10:30 AM worship service. The purpose of chapel is to encourage bonds of fellowship within the church, to hear and share stories of faith and to support the practice of worshiping while gathered in the Bible Story Room as part of the family of God.
During the praise song, children through the 5th grade are invited to follow the cross to Children’s Chapel. Using the “Hearts Alive” Children’s Church curriculum, all the children participate in an order of worship and are introduced to the Bible study that follows the lectionary for that Sunday. Then they divide into age groups (Pre K-2nd grade, 3rd-5th grade) to delve deeper into the Word of God. Children’s Chapel wraps up with a prayer and are given a “Walk It All Week” study sheet. The children return to the service during the Peace and complete the worship service with their family. For more information contact:
