Calvary Regathering News

With the continuing rise in COVID cases in Fort Bend and neighboring counties, it is still too soon for us to safely worship together in the Sanctuary.  But that doesn’t mean plans aren’t underway!

The Task Force (Oscar, Irene, Anne, Amber) has an approved plan for regathering from Bishop Ryan.  That’s an important first step.  They have identified a cleaning service who will deep clean and microbial “fog” the Sanctuary and nearby restrooms so the surfaces resist germs resting or living there.

You can see from the photos that we are preparing the Sanctuary in other ways. All of the pew books are removed, packed and stored.  With help from the Boy Scouts, Jr. Warden Oscar Lozano removed the pew cushions and taped the pews indicating which are open or closed for seating.

This is not how we envision worship, for sure! But these are not ordinary times.  What matters is that God is with us and among us. We celebrate Him and each other and the day will come when we can enter the doors of the church once again.

We believe that as the people of Calvary Episcopal Church, empowered by the Holy Spirit and the love of Jesus, we seek to embrace all ages in our journey of faith through these Core Values:
