This past February, Calvary Out & About adventurers laughed as Sister taught us an Irish Catechism, and we have another opportunity for her special kind of instruction in Sister’s Christmas Catechism: The Mystery of the Magi’s Gold.
Yes, we know it is hard to think about Christmas when we haven’t even gotten to Halloween or Thanksgiving (although Hobby Lobby already has Christmas decorations up). But this show is going to sell out quickly, and we don’t want you to miss out on the fun. Wouldn’t it be nice to take a little time out of our busy holiday hustle and bustle to sit back and laugh? (I think Ralph will wear his clericals and we know Sister will zoom in on him as she did the last time.)
You are invited to join your Calvary Family Out & About in the World to experience Sister’s Christmas Catechism: The Mystery of the Magi’s Gold. By the luck of the Irish, Denise Fennell is back in the habit! Everyone’s favorite sassy nun will lead a brand-new Christmas catechism class. Audience members become students in a hilarious classroom where Sister’s rules are all that matter. This highly improvised show takes its cue from each audience, meaning if you’re in for a good time, so is Sister.
Be ready to experience “CSI: Bethlehem” in this holiday mystery extravaganza as Sister takes on the mystery that has intrigued historians throughout the ages – whatever happened to the Magi’s gold? (“We know that Mary used the frankincense and myrrh as a sort of potpourri—they were in a barn after all.”) Retelling the story of the nativity as only Sister can, this hilarious holiday production is bound to become a yearly classic. Employing her own scientific tools, as well as a gaggle of audience members, Sister will create a living nativity unlike any you’ve ever seen.
